Indigenous Research Policy
This policy is intended to inform and assist University of Minnesota researchers and practitioners, including faculty, staff, research scholars, clinicians, postdoctoral researchers, graduate and undergraduate students who are pursuing work with Tribal partners, Tribal communities, Tribal natural resources, and other Tribally-controlled or Tribal-serving institutions, Indigenous Peoples, places, and objects of cultural significance to Indigenous Peoples, wherever those Indigenous peoples, places, and objects may be.

Trainings
From Transaction to Transformation
Developed by the Office for Public Engagement, From Transaction to Transformation is a professional development learning journey for community-engaged leaders and learners. The ten-minute module offers a captivating, interactive roadmap for conducting public engagement and features the wisdom and talents of some of the University's most successful engagement scholars and practitioners.
Customized Engaged Scholar Workshops
The Office for Public Engagement's Engaged Scholar Workshops are designed to help University faculty take advantage of the benefits of publicly-engaged scholarship. Workshops combine discussions with presentations and hands-on exercises to explore ideas and best practices specific to community-engaged research and teaching. Workshops can be customized to departmental needs.
Partnership Checklist
This checklist, developed by the University's Clinical and Translational Science Institute, provides a guide for discussing common issues in community-engaged research projects.
Partnership Memorandum of Understanding
The Office for Public Engagement, with input from the University's Office of the General Counsel, has developed a Partnership Memorandum of Understanding template that may be a helpful starting point when formalizing partnerships between the University and community organizations.
