Tuesday, May 16, 2017, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Public engagement leaders—including managers and directors of units, centers, and initiatives from across the University's system—are invited to attend the seventh annual University of Minnesota Public Engagement Leaders Retreat.
Retreat highlights include a review and discussion of the recently developed Public Engagement Action Plans for the University's Crookston, Morris, Rochester, and Twin Cities campuses; a conversation focused on the System-wide Strategic Planning effort; an update on key public engagement developments and upcoming initiatives from Associate Vice President for Public Engagement Andy Furco; an exploration of artistic initiatives and University-community partnerships in St. Paul's District Del Sol neighborhood; and opportunities to engage in professional development and network with other leaders in public engagement throughout the University system.
Sponsored by the Office for Public Engagement, the event is free of charge and there is no registration limit for participating units. A double-occupancy hotel room will be provided to faculty and staff attending from system campuses. A catered lunch by El Burrito Mercado will be included. Free parking is available in the attached ramp and across the street in the lot on the corner of Aida and Robie streets. Contact Amber Cameron, Office for Public Engagement, at firstname.lastname@example.org with questions.
