The Office for Public Engagement (OPE) is seeking applications for Campus Compact's Newman Civic Fellowship, which recognizes undergraduate or graduate students who engage in collaborative action with others in order to create long-term social change, take action in addressing issues of inequity and political polarization, and demonstrate the motivation and potential for effective long-term civic engagement.
The fellowship is a one-year experience, during which time fellows have access to learning opportunities, networking events, and mentoring.
The University of Minnesota, Twin Cities is eligible to nominate one student for the Newman Civic Fellowship. The Office for Public Engagement will oversee the campus-wide selection process to identify the campus nominee.
