Social media and modern elections topic of U of M Constitution Day—Monday, Sept. 14

America’s increasing reliance on social media creates exciting new opportunities for the administration of elections. Minnesota is collaborating with Facebook in a pioneering effort to make voting easier and more efficient. In part because of this extraordinary partnership, Minnesota regained its #1 national ranking in voter turnout while conserving money and making voting more convenient for voters.
Hosted by the Humphrey School of Public Affairs' Center for the Study of Politics and Governance,  the University's 2017 Constitution Day event brings together Facebook leaders with Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon to spotlight the breakthroughs in 2016 and lessons for 2018. Light refreshments to follow program.
