Partnering with Minnesota: Connecting the University with Urban, Suburban, and Rural Communities through Public Engagement

Explore the ways in which publicly-engaged research, teaching, and outreach are addressing challenging issues in Minnesota and beyond at "Partnering with Minnesota: Connecting the University with Urban, Suburban, and Rural Communities through Public Engagement," a University of Minnesota system-wide conference on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Coffman Memorial Union's Great Hall on the University's Minneapolis campus.

The University's Office for Public Engagement (OPE) is currently seeking proposals for the conference that address how the University's publicly-engaged research, teaching, and outreach initiatives are partnering with communities in urban, suburban, and rural areas in Minnesota and beyond to address critical issues.

All University faculty, staff, students, institutional leaders, and affiliated community partners are invited to submit proposals.  Detailed submission guidelines can be found in the Conference Call for Proposals.

The conference fee is $35 for faculty, staff, administrators, and community partners; free for University students. General registration closes on February 25, 2020. For those registering after the date, the fee is $70 for faculty, staff, administrators, and community partners and $40 for University students. 

For individuals traveling from Greater Minnesota campuses, OPE will provide overnight accomodations. Overnight accomodations are limited and will be secured on a first-come, first-served basis.
