Sixteen University of Minnesota Twin Cities faculty have been selected to participate in the 2026-2027 Community-Engaged Learning and Teaching (CELT) Fellowship, a year-long initiative that provides faculty with the deep pedagogical support and co-design time necessary to integrate career-ready, community-engaged learning (CEL) into the curriculum.
Throughout the academic year, fellows will participate in a community of practice alongside colleagues, community partners, and staff from the Center for Community-Engaged Learning. Through monthly sessions, individualized support, and a series of course-development milestones, faculty will develop or deepen community partnerships while designing courses intended to launch in Fall 2027.
The fellowship centers community expertise throughout the course-design process, including dedicated opportunities for faculty and community partners to co-design goals, learning experiences, and approaches to assessing both student learning and community impact.
